Tubular Tuesdays: Luck o' the Irish

Touchdown in Dublin! Greetings from the Emerald Isle!

It is crazy beautiful here - just picture "The Sound of Music" but in Ireland. Kidding. I went to Wicklow last Saturday where they apparently shot parts of "Lord of the Rings" and "The Tudors" - love me some Dublin lad, Jonathan Rhys Meyers. So much to see and so much to do, but of course I am blogging and gathering stories. A lot has been happening with only having arrived three days ago, but I will leave that up for another post. The other night, I had my first "real" Guinness - and it REALLY does taste different over here - I have yet to find out if anything else tastes different. In any case, I was hanging with a friend of mine and his friends listening to "trad" music ("traditional" for us statesmen) complete with a fiddle and "may you (insert Irish blessing)" verses typical of Irish folk song, in my mind at least.

One song came on that I absolutely adored and when I said I liked the song, my company laughed and poked fun. Paddy Casey is our Justin Bieber of the US. Well, just like Bieber, I will be a secret fan of Mr. Casey - just as long as he doesn't come out with a song called "Lassie," then he'll have one less Cetltic girl, er, fan.
